One Stop Shop for South Asians

A fictitious ecommerce website

BRIEF

Create an original 5-page ecommerce website for a fictitious company. The site should include the following pages:

  1. Home Page

  2. Contegory Page

  3. Product Page

  4. Basket/cart page

  5. One-page checkout with address, payment options, shipping options

PROCESS

Research type of website within e-commerce category with target audience

The e-commerce website is called - One Stop Shop for South Asians. It aims to be a platform where South Asian artists can sell their created products/merchandise/art etc. An example would be – a site called Modern Design- https://www.moderndesi.com/- However, it is catering to only Indians in USA. One main drawback seen in “Modern Desi,” is the unavailability of signing as a vendor on its website portal. One can do that – provided it’s on the social media platform – instagram. The new e-commerce website will address this drawback. The target market would be designers from South Asian descent. Most likely their age would range from 20s – 30s. The consumer could be 20 plus, assuming from South Asian descent.

Color strategy I Fonts

The colors for the website were chosen by looking at the flags of various South Asian Countries and selected common colors which in turn creates a brand. Colors chosen – Green/White.

South Asian Countries - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran,Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

From the title – One Stop for South Asians, we took the first letter of all main words and created a logo with having S as a common letter. We also used the color Hex # 027afe and #f2f2f2.

For Upper case- ADAM.CG.PRO- when required, mainly for Headings.

For Lower case- Open Sans Light. To highlight, one could use Open Sans Bold. Text is preferably aligned under or on the right aligned of the product/item.

DRAFT SITE I DECIDE EVALUATION

DETERMINE THE GOAL

The high-level goals of this evaluation is to test the consistency and flow of “One Stop for South Asians (OSSA)” website prototype. As the UX design consultant to “One Stop for South Asians,” wants to have a final design from me that has been tested with real users to know that the design is also representing the brand, easy to understand and navigate. Another goal of this evaluation is to test how well the ecommerce site aligns with other ecommerce sites.

EXPLORE THE QUESTIONS

The main goals are divided into smaller questions here and there is a questionnaire that will have users fill out after the interview that targets these smaller questions. The goal is to test how well OSSA’s ecommerce site aligns with other ecommerce sites and the consistency or easy flow.
